Hello teachers. I just returned from an unforgettable week in Poland with 40 other teachers, mostly from NC, learning about the Holocaust. It was a deeply immersive experience. I started sharing on Facebook while I was there but couldn’t find the words to write about Treblinka.
When I got home, though, I kept researching some of the threads that helped me process what had happened. More than the staggering facts, the human stories were what helped me understand, and even find some resolution.
What I found, including primary sources, might be helpful for other teachers and their students who are studying the Holocaust. There’s a lot more, and I’ll keep pulling on those threads as I have time.
